The Challenge

With a wide variety of portfolios, our team at Scopic was looking for an intuitive way for visitors to interact with our projects, learn more about our technologies, and industries served. We wanted to leverage generative AI advancements to help visitors navigate the portfolio page. The challenge was having an AI assistant that could effectively communicate and answer questions about our projects.

The Vision  

Introducing Scopio, our very own AI assistant for searching for portfolio items in our extensive website catalog. Scopio helps website visitors get more info about our projects, technology used, and industries served by answering questions about Scopic’s experience and projects in an interactive, conversational tone and providing links for more details about each project.

The Scopic Solution

We built Scopio using some of the most advanced technologies available. At its core, Scopio is powered by OpenAI’s GPT and uses Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to ensure smooth and intuitive interactions. By leveraging a vector store and embedding models, the agent processes user queries, identifies relevant projects handled by Scopic, and delivers accurate and relevant content in response.

Scopio’s brand-specific customization allows it to engage intelligently with users about Scopic-related topics, so if you want to discuss the weather, Scopio will not have the answers to that .

The Scopic Solution

Scopic harnessed AngioCloud’s groundbreaking technology to transform vascular imaging. The team developed a stand-alone web-application for AngioCloud, that is designed to receive 3D rotational angiography (3D-RA) DICOM datasets. With its interactive views, this app assists physicians in visualizing and measuring cerebral vasculatures as they undertake pre-operative planning.

Physicians can query a 3D-RA dataset directly on AngioCloud Service and will only require an internet browser and internet to allow them to proceed. This level of accessibility ensures that healthcare providers can fully utilize the capabilities of this advanced tool regardless of their location.

The Mobile Interface Challenge Summarized

Billions of users own a smartphone, making mobile apps highly preferable when running a business. Their portability is the essential value brought to the market. As the easiest bridge to the physical world for the end-user, mobile apps can also be challenging to build, especially for IoT enterprises. As IoT is a fairly new industry, it has specific, and sometimes unknown, protocols to follow. If developers are not experienced, they have to play with trial and error until virtually seamless, which is time-consuming and costly. Security concerns should also be considered both in the front-end and back-end.

The Vision Behind the App

TAP, by SDS Industries, is a commercially available consumer kiln controller that enables the glass or ceramic artist to immediately start programming and operating their kiln. This controller is designed to take all the guesswork out of firing schedule creation, modification, execution, and monitoring. However, the company aimed to incorporate a GUI to this advanced service, and specifically they wanted to leverage it with a mobile app.

They reached out to Scopic and communicated their ideas with our best experts in the field.

The Scopic Solution

The controller was developed by SDS Industries themselves, and they provided us the Backend logic, so that we could reuse it. Scopic’s frontend experts designed and concepted the entire Mobile user interface for a cross-platform app implementation. Also we worked on a whole set of backend improvements to adjust to the IoT environment. The service includes these features:

The mobile version works for both Android and IOS and simulates very closely the functionalities and features that are available on the controller. This user-friendly interface enables immediate out of the box use.

This tool was to be rule-based and make changes to the assembly as a unit so whenever you make changes to a certain part of the model, all other elements automatically adjust.

Scopic created the Cabinet Wizard as an add-on for Sketchlist 3D. The Cabinet Wizard is a woodworking furniture design software that helps you easily build and adjust 3D furniture models. This powerful tool boasts a variety of features and benefits, including:

• Ease of use: The Cabinet Wizard offers radically shortened learning time required to create woodworking plans. The system automatically adjusts an entire assembly based on changes in any aspect of the design.

The Farm Challenge Summarized

The process of buying and selling cattle demands careful management skills and analytical thinking from all those involved. When assessors analyze the data, they need to work out which percentage of cattle has an acceptable score as well as the details of the scores given to each animal in the sample. Notably, this is a time-consuming process. With a wealth of data available in the cattle management sector, it can be hard to know what exactly to focus on and the best way to record or calculate the information.

And although it is time-consuming, without completing these kinds of reports, it is impossible to accurately compare the herd’s results against others in the market without this process.

The Vision Behind the App

The intention was to have a place where assessors and vendors could easily manage cattle assessment data and thus provide more selling or purchasing opportunities. The idea was to create an app that could help participants identify opportunities to save money while expanding the size of their herds while grasping new market opportunities. So, On Farm reached out to Scopic to collaborate on building a platform in the hopes to drive measurable results and make the market more accessible.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic built the entire portal from scratch. The web application includes a number of useful features that allow cattle assessors to easily manage cattle assessment data for their clients. Our UI and UX experts made sure the data stored in the application was presented in an easy-to-read format. The platform also displays the data in an external selling platform to potential buyers of beef cattle on a per-lot basis.

From design to functionality, this web portal took inspiration from the Cattle Assessment Manual to ensure all features would be fully optimized and useful to cattle assessors.

The Vision Behind the App

The CleverSign Digital Signage team aimed at providing a digital signage solution. Ideally, they wanted to cover the entire process. Firstly, they wanted to help companies understand their strategic goals: revenue increase, branding or simply informing the customers. Then, implement the most suitable screens and start the experience.

However, CleverSign Digital Signage envisioned the developed technology would be a competitive advantage in a fragmented industry with hundreds of vendors. So, they reached out to Scopic to enhance user interface features and increase performance.

The Scopic Solution

The cooperation with Scopic aimed to update the existing signage application with added and improved elements:

Eventually, our desktop development experts built an application that consisted of two main parts – Content Management System (CMS) and a web player. The CMS was used to create playlists to be displayed on signage TVs while the web player was used to play playlists on the signage TVs. The improved features created a user-friendly interface with self-explanatory tabs that lead to beautiful signage creations.

Using PHP, Javascript, and MySQL, Scopic developers built a WordPress website and an image canvas application. The application removes the picture’s background elements, and the interface then shows it in an image canvas. This canvas can be placed against any background of your choice. Other features include a number of predefined backgrounds that users can choose from, as well as a user-friendly tool for adjusting the pictures.
